About Rachael

Rachael Smith is a London-based freelance photographer specialising in interiors, still life and portraits for editorial, design and advertising clients in the UK and across Europe.

She graduated from Brighton University in 2000 with a BA Honors degree in editorial photography. For her final project (about an airfield in Lincolnshire) she won the Nagoya Award for her creative vision and artistic flair. As a result she got her first professional commission from Duxford Imperial War Museum, and has been working professionally ever since.

Rachael works with a number of prestigious clients including The World of Interiors, The Telegraph and Observer magazines, Osborne & Little, Graham & Brown and Lladro to name but a few. In addition, her work regularly appears in many British and European magazines.

Rachael has always shot on medium format transparency, but in the last few years has invested in high-end medium format digital equipment (Phase One P45+ back). This means there is no compromise on picture quality.
